This big night is fast approaching! The one and only chance for people to claim one of the 50 elephants painted for the Mali in the City event. Both of my painted elephants “Elephantasy” and “Here Today…” along with the 48 others will be auctioned off on the 25th of October.Read More
Wow I’ve gone a whole month without posting anything and yet I’ve been so busy. I’m not able to publish a lot of the work just yet but I did finish this logo recently and since there isn’t a section on my website for logos I thought I’d post some of the other ones I’ve done. I enjoy creating graphic part of the logos, there’s something about the challenge of creating a visual metaphor in a simple way that is quite appealing (although equally frustrating at times!).Read More
The Australian Cartoonists’ Association will be hosting it’s 28th annual Stanley Awards and conference weekend in Newcastle this year. I’m very excited to announce I have been invited to sit on a panel to discuss working as a designer in the coin industry. The panel event is called Making a Mint – Designing Coins and Stamps and I will have the honor of sitting along side Jason Chatfield ( A cartoonist and comedian who has taken the reins of the Ginger Meggs comics ) and Alexander Stitt ( a pioneering illustrator, writer and animator responsible for such iconic works as the ‘Life. Be in it.’ campaign).Read More
I ordered these postcards about two weeks ago from Zazzle to send to old clients and introduce myself to new ones. They arrived on Friday so I’ve been busily writing addresses over the weekend. Read More

Today I attended the “You Show Me Yours and I’ll Show You Mine” event held by the Australian Society of Authors. The event invited illustrators from all fields to share and view samples of each other’s work. We also discussed some of the hot topics that seem to always come up in illustration conferences such as prices, contracts and whether to specialise or diversify. There was a turnout of about 12 people which I thought was a nice number, not too few but few enough to get everyone joining in the conversation.Read More
These are my submissions to the Mali in the City art project being organised by the Melbourne Zoo. 50 life-size fibreglass sculptures will be painted by local artists and spread around the city for a 6 week period. Afterwards, the elephants will then be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the zoo and its conservation efforts.Read More

Below is an animated process of a portfolio piece I just finished. The illustration will be used for a series of promotional postcards for my illustration business.
