WATERCOLOUR BIRD PAINTINGS

My sister loves birds and flowers and I had been eager to try some splashy watercolour techniques so when her birthday came around I got to work on this set. Watercolours are notoriously difficult to control and I don’t use them a whole lot but I was happy how the paintings and colour came out. Admittedly, I used some really cheap watercolours for this and I’ve actually been struggling to find higher quality paints with the same vibrancy of colour since.

The project turned out to be a very good portfolio piece as watercolour has gained a lot of popularity in food, beverage and cosmetics packaging in recent years.
