ONEBIRD BOOK COVER ILLUSTRATION

As budgie fan myself, I was delighted to receive this book cover illustration brief from author Donna Dwyer, who was looking to self-publish her book. Onebird is a magical adventure story featuring a budgerigar as the main character and lots of wonderful Australian bush animals (mostly of the feathered variety) as supporting characters. Under Donna’s guidance, I worked with her closely to capture her vision for the cover. An essential part of the brief was to feature a magnificent gum tree and incorporate the colour palettes of the Australian outback.
