HAPPY DAYS IN THE OUTBACK GREETING CARD

This was my first illustration brief from La La Land. Playing on a successful greeting card theme, they asked me to illustrate a band of Australian animals heading to a party in a boat. The brief was right up my alley and so I jumped on the opportunity. This illustration makes use of outlines and textures rather than intricately painted details so I was able to focus on the drawing and not get caught up in the details. The resulting style is more organic and slightly more naive than my usual style, which was a refreshing way to work. I later produced another card for La La Land using a similar style.
