The Devil’s Own Ice Creamery Branding
I recently had the pleasure of combining my interests in animal illustration, sweet treats and ethical business to create a logo for a Tasmanian-based Ice Creamery startup, The Devil’s Own Ice Creamery.
The Devil’s Own Ice Creamery aims to produce delicious artisan ice cream, from natural local ingredients, catering to those with dietary restrictions with minimal impact to the environment, all the while donating a portion of profits to the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. Serously, what’s not to love?!
The brief involved creating a Tasmanian Devil character and supporting brand that communicated natural ingredients, handcrafted products, appealed to both children and adults and wasn’t too upmarket. These requirements were met through the use of colours that were not overly saturated, a handwritten font and abstract “scoop” elements, a limited palette and a Tasmanian Devil character (now affectionately known as Devlin) with a family-friendly appeal.
I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and collaborating with Martin, the “Dashing Devil in Chief” at The Devil’s Own. He had some very lovely comments about working with me that I can’t help but share!
“Elise was an absolute joy to work with, professional and intuitive the whole way through, and she deserves so much thanks and praise for everything she has done behind the scenes to help us with our business branding. Can’t praise her highly enough!!” – Martin Hamilton
The Ice Creamery is still getting set up but you can stay up to date on the Ice Creamery’s latest developments at these links: On Facebook, on Instagram and their Website (coming soon).
