Painted Malis revealed at Myer
Four painted Malis were unveiled today in the windows of the Melbourne Myer store. I was so excited to be chosen as one of the four! My elephant will be displayed alongside the works of David Bromley, Graham Base and Mali herself for the next two weeks.
Below are a few pictures from the event. Channel Ten (I think it was?) did a short story on this so I hope it will be on the web later for me to link to.
I’m starting work on my second elephant tomorrow. So if you’re sick of painted elephant updates, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you 😉

Congratulations. Great work Elise. You make me so very proud.

Aw thank you Dad! xx
Hi Elise,
Your work is fantastic! I’ve shown Elephantasy to everyone at school and they are very impressed.
I love the second one too. You are so clever! I love your Mali and Me photo.
You’ve achieved so much in such a variety of ways I’m sure there are a lot of envious artists out there.
Can’t wait to see what’s next!!!
Love Uncle Peter
Hi Uncle Peter!
Thanks for dropping by and commenting. I’m glad everyone liked the elephants! I can’t wait to see them all out and about around the city myself 🙂
I’m still busy with a lot of work so I should have some more interesting projects to post here later on!
Love from Elise
Hi Elise,
Great work!
All the folks at Vipond’s Paints have been following your progress and are very impressed with the outcome. We can hardly wait to see all the elephants on display.
Cheers,
Paul.
Hi Paul!
Thanks for dropping by and for the compliments!
The colours came out great and it sounds like the organisers are choosing Ecopave for the varnish after seeing how this one turned out.
I can’t wait to see them on the streets either, not long to go now!
Thanks for your help and advice 🙂
